Groom your eyes with these hacks

Do NOT pull

Well, applying kajal for the first time is a cherished memory for every girl. However, quite commonly, we learn to put it on the wrong way. Of course it is a tough job to get it right the first few times. In order to make it easy, we have been pulling down our under-eyes and cheeks. This is definitely good for the face and should not be done on such a regular basis. The same applies to eyeliner. Do not pull or press the eyelid to get that liner straight. While gently massaging the face and eyes is recommended, such unnatural pulling or stretching can cause wrinkles and similar problems.

The right direction

If you have been putting your kajal in the direction of moving away from your nose, you might want to change that. This one follows logically. The corner of our eyes that is near the nose is usually more moist. Hence, when you start from the moist side, you might have to rub the kajal stick multiple times to get it right. Better to start moving from the other corner in the direction of the nose. This way you go from the relatively dry side to the moist side.

No shaking

We are all so used to shaking or hitting the eyeliner bottle on our hands before applying, aren’t we? Though, for a longer life of your eyeliner, this is a no no. Instead just roll it to and forth in your palms 3-4 times and your are good to go. Happy long life for your eyeliner!

Castor oil

This is an age old practice, but like other things, it has been getting out of the limelight. Castor oil is a boon for eyes. Be it dryness or itchiness, this castor oil drops can do wonders. However, this is not the hack we talk about. By rubbing a drop of castor oil over your eyelashes, you will get healthy and long eyelashes. Don’t they look stunning! People who have scarce growth on the eyebrow region can also try this for great results. Gently massaging it on the under-eyes is also a good way to protect against wrinkles. Put it on and leave it for the night.

Vitamin E under-eye mask

Vitamin E has numerous benefits for hair, skin and eyes. Probably that’s the reason for these capsules being so readily available at most pharmacies. Just prick a vitamin E capsule with a needle and squeeze its contents out in a bowl. Now, add a tea spoon of almond oil. Mix these two thoroughly and then gently massage this over your under-eyes. This will not only prevent wrinkles, but also help your dark circles disappear magically. Again, just leave it on for the night.
