You can also have fruits or vegetables which are more watery like watermelon, cucumber, berries and lettuce.

6. Coffee? A Big No!

Cut down the intake of caffeine as it makes cramps worse. It restricts vessels and increases anxiety levels. Another fact about caffeine is that it increases production of urine and promotes dehydration. Therefore, it is advisable to stay away from coffee at least during the time when you are on your periods.
